Ramblin' Adventure Club is a fully insured, summer camp and after school adventure program for kids, grades K-5th. Kids spend quality time in nature while hiking and exploring a new location every day. Our program is inspired by Richard Louv's, 'Last Child In The Woods,' and the research strongly linking the connection between children's mental/physical health and regular interaction with the natural world.
Students are shuttled from their schools to the trailhead. We typically hike 1/4 mile to 2 miles each day to a destination point. Our destinations are often swimming holes, climbing trees, creeks, rivers, beaches, caves, or habitats of particular interest.
This is an amazing, wonderful club! All of the teachers are extremely qualified and wonderful, the outdoor educational opportunities they offer are completely unique. They journal their adventures, take photos, draw discoveries, learn about native plants and animals, all while spending their day outside in some of the most beautiful locations in the Santa Cruz area. I really cannot say enough good things. My son would go every day, all year long if he could. We love this club!!
