Ramblin' Adventure Club Policies:
Parents are responsible to report upcoming irregular days, including: early or late dismissals that are not on the regular daily schedule to the Ramblin’ Office and the Ramblin’ Trail Guide leading the group that day. Ramblin' is on the Santa Cruz City schools' calendar. Parents of students attending schools not on the SCCS calendar are responsible to keep track of this calendar and coordinate drop off on days that Ramblin' is open when their schools are closed.
Risk Management Policy:
In the event that a child is not ready to fully participate in Ramblin’ Adventure Club and in turn puts the group at risk via needing excessive attention, we require the child to take one to four quarters off from adventuring and try again when they are ready. (Examples include but are not limited to: daily bathroom mishaps, wandering away from the group, unstable balance and stability, unable to adventure without a parent, etc.)
Payments:
All payments and registration forms must be received by our office one week prior to your first trip. Enrollment is officially complete when registration & payment have been received (on next screen). Your spot is secure only after we have received your payment. Registration payment can be made on the next screen, after click 'SUBMIT' on this enrollment form. An invoice for your child's camp tuition will be sent to you within one week of submitting enrollment.
Ramblin' Adventure Club does not accept cash or check payments. All payments must be paid by card through the invoice you receive by email.
Billing Policy:
All payments are billed 4-weeks in advance. You may cancel at anytime, and you will be refunded for unused trips as per the Refund Policy.
Refund Policy:
Refunds only given to customers who are canceling their entire enrollment, and who give notice at least 2 weeks before their planned departure date.
Attendance Policy:
We appreciate notice of your child’s absence. Refunds/credits will not be given for absences. You may request a make-up adventure on an alternate adventure day.
These requests are honored based on current availability and family initiation of request.
Program Suspension:
If payment becomes 2 weeks past due, your child may be suspended from their next adventure day &/or until past due payment is received.
If a child makes a choice that puts themself or another child in danger that child is subject to suspension and/or immediate expulsion from Ramblin’ Adventure Club.
Registration Policy:
All payments and registration forms must be received at least 48 hours before your child's first initial trip. Enrollment is officially complete when registration & payment have been received.
Late Payment Policy:
If payments are not received within one week prior to your child’s first adventure, there will be a $15 Late Payment fee assessed.
Variation in Afterschool Pick Up Policy:
Parents are responsible to report upcoming irregular days, including: early or late dismissals that are not on the regular daily schedule to the Ramblin’ Office and the Ramblin’ Trail Guide leading the group that day. Ramblin' is on the Santa Cruz City schools' calendar. Parents of students attending schools not on the SCCS calendar are responsible to keep track of this calendar and coordinate drop off on days that Ramblin' is open when their schools are closed.
Late Drop-off Policy:
We have found that children arriving late to our program cause disruptions to the teachers & children already engaged in their pretrip meeting or daily hike. If your child is not dropped off on time they may not attend that day. No refunds given for late drop-offs.
Late Pick-up Policy:
Evening pick-ups are between 5:00-5:30pm. Any pick-up after 5:30pm, is considered a late pick-up and will be assessed the $15 late pick-up fee. If 3 late pick-ups occur, we will require an alternate pick-up plan (enrollment with Boys & Girls Club or scheduled meeting with Program Directors).
Scholarship Policy:
We offer scholarships, if needed please request RAC Scholarship application. Applications will be reviewed carefully and applicants will be notified within 5 days.
Sick/Injured Policy
Ramblin' students are expected to arrive at Ramblin' each day healthy and ready to adventure. In effort to keep all of our students and staff healthy children who are sick are not welcome to attend Ramblin' and must go home immediately. In the event that a child vomits at Ramblin' they will be sent home immediately.
Children who arrive at Ramblin' with injuries that impede on their ability to participate fully or safely in the adventure will be sent home immediately. This includes children arriving in casts that are not water or weather proof and children arriving
with concussions or head injuries.
Food Policy
In the event that your child arrives without a hearty snack or without adequate protein in their snack you will be required to run a snack out to the group. If this happens a second time you will be charged a $30 snack fee to pay for the time it takes to do a snack run and the money involved in paying for the snack items. Upon the third snack-less day your child will be sent home immediately and you will not be refunded for the missed day.
Adult Conduct Policy:
We understand that sometimes differences may arise or mis-communications may happen. We value your input and ask that all communication be respectful and mindful.
